Orange & Rockland (O&R) is a wholly owned subsidiary
of Consolidated Edison, Inc.,
an electric and gas utility headquartered in Pearl River,
NY. O&R and its two utility subsidiaries, Rockland Electric Company and Pike County Light & Power Co., serve a population of approximately 750,000 in seven
counties in New York, northern New Jersey and northeastern Pennsylvania.
Within New York State, O&R delivers electricity to approximately 222,965 customers and natural gas to 128,555 customers.
O&R's service territory encompasses a thriving 1,350 square-mile region, principally residential in nature, with a broad base of commercial, industrial, agricultural and recreational facilities.

Small Business Energy Efficiency Program
Orange & Rockland and government agencies are making available many financial incentives to both small commercial energy users.For business and government customers with an average demand use of 100 kW or less, O&R will help reduce your company's energy costs by installing energy efficient equipment. Interested customers will be provided with a FREE energy survey.
For energy efficiency measures recommended from the survey, O&R will pay up to 70% of the installation and equipment cost.
The energy efficiency measures will be installed by Willdan Energy Solutions, O&R's implementation contractor.
Background
On June 23, 2008 the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) issued an Order establishing an Energy Efficiency Portfolio
Standard (EEPS) for New York State. In this Order, all New York State utilities were required to implement a residential natural gas
heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) energy efficiency program.
O&R will offer rebates to eligible residential customers who replace or install qualified equipment. The high-efficiency gas
equipment must meet specific efficiency ratings.
The purpose of the program is to encourage customers to purchase and install higher efficiency equipment, thereby reducing the state’s overall energy consumption and encouraging wise energy use.
